Distribution of heaters for needy families in Ramat gan

Yesterday, Monday, ‘Keren Hatzadik’ came to Ramat Gan to distribute, for free, heaters to needy families. It must be mentioned that the city workers worked in a very organized fashion, and they contacted al of the needy people who arrived at the hall – ‘MiLibi’- (This Hall is well known to the needy of Ramat Gan as the place where the City authority sell subsidized goods) We distributed the heaters, and the people emotionally thanked us from the bottom of their hearts. A special thanks goes to all of the volunteers and to Sarah Tal – official for the Department of Volunteer work in Ramat Gan.

In search of a volunteer driver to distribute food

Keren Hatzadik distribute many food parcels to needy families, however one of our regular and long standing drivers has been forced to stop his work due to the illness of a close relative. Therefore we are looking for a permanent volunteer driver to be in charge of distribution of food packages on Thursday evenings. It is important to point out that the families that receive from our organisation are not listed with any other support organisation. This is due to the fact that other organisations have requested that families fill in forms giving details of private information. With Keren Hatzadik we only require an address, in accordance with the Pesak of the Rambam and Shulchan Aruch : If someone says “Feed Me” we do not check them out any further”

'YAMBAMBAM' CAMPAIGN

'Keren HaTsadik' has acquired a candy floss machine (donated by a benefactor from abroad) which everyone calls 'Yambambam' in order to encourage children to collect food products for the needy.
The 'Keren HaTsadik' vehicle tours around the neighborhoods and the children come and receive a candy floss stick for each bag of products.
Within a few days the children collected products worth about 2,500 NIS in addition to the children's regular collection.

We are appealing to anyone who is able to donate another machine so that we can double the number of products and increase the charitable activity.

WAREHOUSE NEEDED

We are in urgent need of a warehouse (not necessarily especially large) for the purpose of accepting food products and distribution by volunteers to needy families free of charge.
Up until now families from the center of the country in need of food have been assisted by friends from Jerusalem who would take food parcels for them.
It is superfluous to point out how difficult this is, and therefore it has been decided to look for a warehouse in the center of the country which can meet the requirements of the needy.

'SHAVUOT FESTIVAL' CAMPAIGN

A donations campaign is getting under way for the Granting of the Law festival.
A parcel costs 70 NIS. The parcel contains wine and dairy products as is customary on the festival of Shavuot.
